Ariwo, Anchorsong, Mermaid Chunky
With it’s roots in contemporary art, this outfit's performances are made up of tailor made art film projections accompanied by sound scapes of drum machines, synthesisers, saxophone, recorder, wind up toys, robotic cats and floating lyrical phrases.

Anchorsong – aka Masaaki Yoshida - has become globally recognised for his unique live shows, which many people have described as "like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas", as he creates electronic music completely live using a sampler (MPC2500) and a keyboard, right in front of the audience

Ariwo are a Cuban/Iranian four-piece focused on intersection between electronic and ancestral music. The band brings together Iranian electronic composer Pouya Ehsaei and three of London’s most influential Cuban musicians.
Working with an abundance of sounds and styles in her adventurous and curious manner, Jacqueline Kroft‘s unique approach to lyrical soundscaping provides unusual, eclectic compositions for her audiences to embrace. Free

Originally hailing from Stroud, Footshooter is the production moniker used by London-based musician Barney Whittaker. His style explores grooves and rhythms spanning UK dance music with the melodic vibrations of jazz and soul. He has invited some of his favourite artists, poets, and vocalists from the London scene to join him at the SVA.

Ruth’s nu soul / jazz sound is layered with electronic influences and beats that stem from an upbringing in Bristol and captures all that’s good about the city’s celebrated and rich musical legacy. Fluctuating from dark and delicate to a strangely uplifting mood, Royall encompasses Billie Holiday, Etta James and Sade together with more recent personal obsessions like Submotion Orchestra, Zero 7, Jamie Woon and Nikka Costa.
Headlining the Goods Shed on Saturday night, London-based saxophonist and composer, Nubya Garcia is one of the leading forces behind the resurgence of jazz-influenced sounds in the UK. Her compositions glow with "Afro-futurist touches, chill Baduizm and self-assurance", performed by a band comprised of London's finest musical talent.
Opening the Saturday evening will be Bristol's Feelgood Experiment, who return to Jazz Stroud for the third time with their sumptuous blend of jazz, soul and R&B.
Kim Cypher is a female saxophonists, vocalists and composers, having developed her own unique style of saxophone playing, built upon influences by great players such as Gerald Albright, Maceo Parker, Pee Wee Ellis, Andy Sheppard, Dean Fraser, Courtney Pine and Grover Washington.
Rafa Dornelles (Guitar), Daniel Plimmer (Bass) and William Vick (Drums) expand the boundaries of Latin Jazz bringing some modern trip-hop, new-soul and modern Brazilian music influences to original compositions. Free
