Lex Blondin is a Paris-born, London-based DJ, curator, and cultural instigator best known as the founder of the influential Total Refreshment Centre and co-creator of Church of Sound.
His work bridges global jazz traditions, Afro-Latin rhythms, hip-hop roots, and “outernational” club culture, reflecting a lifelong journey from crate-digging and rap culture to deep explorations of jazz, funk, soul, reggae, and diasporic dance music. As a radio host on stations spanning London, Paris, and New York, he showcases wide-ranging musical communities while championing boundary-pushing artists through his label and curatorial projects.
Blondin is also the driving force behind the New Regency Orchestra, an explosive big-band project reimagining mid-century Latin jazz for contemporary audiences. His DJ sets and programming are celebrated for their depth, warmth, and adventurous spirit, connecting past and present across cultures and dancefloors.
