Footshooter ( AKA Barney Whittaker) has been resident at Jazz Stroud for the last 3 years, bringing live acts and DJs to the festival including Sawa Manga, Brother Portrait, Slam the Poet, and many more. Barney himself hails from Stroud but is now based in South-East London; his music blends rhythms of UK dance music with the melodic textures and instrumentation of jazz and soul, alongside vocals, rapping and poetry from some of London’s most compelling new artists.
Allysha Joy is best known for performing in the Melbourne Hip Hop collective 30/70, and their success over the past two years has lead her to further challenge her expression in a project of her own. Allysha Joy is pushing boundaries as a keys player, poet, singer and producer, releasing her first solo record in 2018. Zakia (resident DJ at the Jazz Café and NTS radio) plays spiritual jazz, psychedelic soul and other celestial grooves from across the planet.
