Saxophonist David Kayode’s commanding tenor sound blends blend Yoruba tradition, carnival energy and contemporary jazz into a distinctly London sound that moves bodies and evokes ancestral stories.
A Tomorrow’s Warriors Emerging Artist, mentored by Gary Crosby OBE and Camilla George, David has already performed with the Gary Crosby Sextet in the acclaimed Mingus Moves series, toured internationally with Moses Boyd, and collaborated with artists including Ni Maxine and Osibisa.

One-half of the legendary duo Gil Scott- Heron and Brian Jackson, Brian tours with a show that is a mix of his most recent work and the iconic, most requested tunes in the Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson catalogue – songs like Winter In America, We Almost Lost Detroit and The Bottle, with Brian generously sharing stories and anecdotes about life as creative brothers in an era eerily similar to today.
